Answers to questions you may have about us. If you don’t find the questions/answers you’re looking for, please contact us and we’ll try to answer your questions.
“Where is your church?”
We’re in Oregon City about a mile west of Clackamas Community College. Turn west off Highway 213 onto Meyers Road and in about a minute you’ll be here, at the intersection of Meyer’s Road and Gaffney. 19691 Meyers Road, Oregon City.
“What do I wear?”
Come dressed in clothes you’re comfortable wearing. Most of us dress casually, but if you want to dress up, you’ll fit in just fine.
“Will I be asked to speak or publicly identify myself as a guest?”
No. We promise not to embarrass you!
“Will I be asked to give?“
No. Though our offering is a special part of our worship of God, it is not required for you to give. You are our guest; just as it would be unthinkable to charge someone we invited to our house for dinner, we do not expect our guests to give.
“Will I be put on your mailing list?“
“Will somebody from your church try to visit me?“
Only if you ask us to. We do want you to know as much about us as you’d like. If a personal visit would help you learn more about our church, let us know and we’ll gladly make an appointment with you. If you don’t have a church home, consider our family.
“Do you have a youth group?“
Yes. Our teen department is very active, fun, and well attended; they meet on Wednesday nights from 6:45 to 8:45 for fun, food and Bible study and Sunday mornings at 9:30AM for Bible study and worship. They have regular events throughout the year, too.
“Do you have something for my kids when I’m in church?“
Yes, we have a well-staffed Sunday School for your kids (nursery to 5th grade) from 9:30 to 10:30. We offer “children’s church” during our worship. Kids in grades 1st-3rd stay with the parents briefly at the beginning of the worship and are then led by adult leaders to the next room for a worship time appropriate for their age.
“Do you have young families?“
Yes. We have a group for parents of kids 12 years old and younger that meet in the Fireside Room on Sunday mornings at 9:30 while their children are in Sunday School.
“What’s your pastor like?“
Pastor Mike and his wife Judy have been married for 46 years and have two adult children and four grandchildren. His messages are based on the study of the Bible, one book at a time, verse by verse, and are relevant to our current needs and situations. He was trained for ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary. He loves to catch steelhead on the Wilson River, or any river within 150 miles!
