Who is our Pastor?
Pastor Mike and his wife Judy met as teenagers when they serve at Sky Ranch Christian camp in Texas. They enjoy visiting their four grandkids and their two children and their spouses. They have led several tours to Israel. His messages are based on the study of the Bible, one book at a time, verse by verse, and are relevant to our current needs and situations. He was trained for ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary. He loves to catch steelhead on the Wilson River, or any river within 150 miles!
What Do I Wear?
Come dressed in clothes you’re comfortable wearing. Most of us dress casually, but if you want to dress up, you’ll fit in just fine.
Will somebody from the church visit me?
Only if you ask us to. We do want you to know as much about us as you’d like. If a personal visit would help you learn more about our church, let us know and we’ll gladly make an appointment with you. If you don’t have a church home, consider our family.
Will I be asked to speak or publicly identify myself as a guest?
No. We promise not to embarrass you!
Do you have a youth group?
Yes. Our teen department is very active, fun, and well attended; they meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM for fun, food and Bible study and Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM for Bible study and worship. They have regular events throughout the year, too.
What type of music do you have?
Music is upbeat and includes some great hymns, too.
Will I be asked to give?
No. Though our offering is a special part of our worship of God, it is not required for you to give. You are our guest; just as it would be unthinkable to charge someone we invited to our house for dinner, we do not expect our guests to give.
Do you have young families?
Yes. We have a group for parents that meet in the Fireside Room on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM while their kids are in Sunday School.
What will the sermon be like?
The worship message is an exposition of a Bible text and we usually study a Bible book, verse-by-verse. Services are about an hour and fifteen minutes.
